FERIA DE NAVIDAD – Spanish Christmas Market

Following on from the enormous success of our recent Fiesta del Gintonic, The Tapa Team would like to invite you to our upcoming Spanish Christmas Market in the restaurant on Sunday 3rd of December 2017.

WHERE: Tapa, 19 Shore Place, Edinburgh EH6 6SW.

WHEN: Sunday 3rd December 2017: 12pm- 4pm.

  • Tasting stalls will close at 4pm.
  • Kitchen will close at 6pm
  • Bar will open until late

On arrival, your senses will be instantly transported to the Christmas season in Spain as our Head Chef (and native Sevillano), Francisco Martín Romano- or Paco to his friends- fills the restaurant with the evocative aromas of traditional Paella being prepared, whilst live Spanish music will establish an unequivocally Spanish ambiance in the room.

You’ll be greeted with a Glass of Cava and a Tapa tote bag with an order form and a Tapa pen in it so you can order any of the awesome products from the market stalls and then after that its up to you! Excitingly, there will be a wide variety of stalls with unique Spanish products available, such as:

  • Artisanal Spanish food and charcuterie, with live Jamón carving demonstrations.
  • A wide range of Spanish wines and cava, not normally available for sale off trade.
  • Spanish Sherries, including our selection of rare, old solera Sherries from the award winning winemaker, Gonzalez Byass.
  • A selection of hand picked Spanish Brandies, Liqueurs and Gins
  • And handmade soaps from Scottish Fine Soaps

With lots of products in our Christmas Market available to be sampled, you’ll also have the opportunity to chat with both our food and drink producers and knowledgeable staff to help you find new favourites and gifts that will really delight loved ones!

Bar service and canapés will be available throughout the day and there will be a small amount of space available in the restaurant for those wishing something more substantial And once Paco has finished preparing his Paella (he’ll be preparing different Paellas throughout that afternoon- please follow our social media pages to find out what he’s preparing and when) they’ll also be shared out for everyone to enjoy!

And although the tasting stalls will close at 4 pm, the kitchen will remain open until 6 pm and our bar will be open late, so you are more than welcome to stay for as long as you like and enjoy the music and the ambience of a traditional Spanish day!

The ticket to the event includes…

  • Glass of Cava or Mulled wine on arrival
  • Branded Feria de Navidad tote bag with an order form and Tapa pen.
  • The opportunity to sample a wide variety of Spanish artisanal food and wines whilst meeting with the producers.
  • The opportunity to buy unique Spanish products
